What to Do in Amalfi & Positano, the Amalfi Coast's Famous Towns onegirlwholeworld.com
If you're visiting the Amalfi Coast, then Positano & Amalfi town will be high on your list…here's a guide for things to do with a day each in Positano & Amalfi!
If you don’t already know, the Amalfi Coast is a fairly small stretch of Italian coastline that’s famous for its breathtaking scenery, pretty pastel villages, and all the usual food, history, and culture charm that Italy offers (it’s also a UNESCO World Heritage site).
Amalfi and Positano are two of the most famous, popular towns on the coast, but that also tends to make them the most crowded and expensive. We were there in late May, and it was already crazy busy and crowded in both towns. However, I would say that if you based yourself there, the crowds will diminish slightly at night, when the daytrippers leave.
Amalfi is a great option for those who want a little more culture and history and a bit less glitz than Positano. It’s got a lot of beautiful medieval buildings and everything lemon-themed you could ask for!
