Don Det in Laos and the 4,000 Islands: Ultimate Travel Guide neverendingfootsteps.com
Ask me about my favourite place in Laos and I’ll immediately tell you about the 4,000 Islands.
Ask me about the most relaxing place in Southeast Asia and I’d give you the same answer.
Laos’ 4,000 Islands is the type of place where your days are spent lounging in a hammock on the balcony of a humble bungalow, watching the Mekong River drift by and feeling like the rest of the world is a million miles away.
It’s the kind of place where you plan to spend a couple of days, but end up staying for weeks. I’ve yet to meet another traveller who didn’t fall in love with this part of Laos, and they’d always agree with me that they’d never felt so relaxed before.
Needless to say, if you’re planning on spending some time in Laos, you should absolutely be prioritising the 4,000 Islands.
