Museum Village

Since 1994, Genalguacil has been working on a pioneering, innovative, and unique approach, where art, culture, tradition, and nature merge.

Thanks to the Genalguacil Art Encounters, more than 200 artists have left their mark on the white network of streets and squares, transforming them into a forest of sculptures. This has set us apart from other municipalities and given us our own unique identity.

Since 2004, we have had the Genalguacil Museum of Contemporary Art, which houses the permanent collection of Genalguacil Museum Village and hosts highly sought-after traveling exhibitions from the national and international art scene. Because of this, Genalguacil has become the only inhabited Museum Village in the world.
